Email Us
For all inquiries, quotes, and support:
info@kansasibcycling.comWe typically respond to all inquiries within 24 business hours. For urgent requests, please indicate so in your subject line. Use a descriptive subject (e.g., "Quote Request — 50 Units, Chicago IL") for faster routing.
Business Hours
All times are Central Time (CT). We observe major US holidays. Saturday appointments can be scheduled with at least 48 hours' advance notice by emailing us during the week.
What to Include in Your Inquiry
The more detail you provide upfront, the faster and more accurately we can respond. An email with all the relevant details typically gets a same-day response, while vague inquiries may require a back-and-forth before we can quote you. Here's what helps us most:
Quantity
How many IBC totes do you need — or have to sell? Even a rough estimate (e.g., "10–20 units" or "approximately 50") helps us check inventory levels, plan logistics, and give you accurate per-unit and freight pricing right away.
Previous Product / Contents
What was previously stored in the tote? For buyers, this tells us which grade options fit your use case. For sellers and recycling inquiries, it determines handling, inspection, and cleaning requirements — and affects pricing significantly.
Grade / Condition Needed
Are you looking for food-grade, industrial-grade, or standard reconditioned IBC totes? If you're selling, describe the current condition honestly — cage integrity, liner condition, valve state, and any visible damage. Photos attached to your email are always welcome.
Delivery Location
Your full delivery address — city, state, and zip code — lets us calculate accurate freight costs and check if your location falls within our direct-delivery zone. Dock availability, forklift access, and any site restrictions are also useful to note.
Timeline / Urgency
When do you need the totes delivered, picked up, or recycled? Rush orders within 48–72 hours are possible in some cases but require early notice. Planned orders with a 1–2 week lead time give us the most flexibility to get you the best pricing and a full inventory selection.
Recurring or One-Time
Are you a one-time buyer or do you anticipate ongoing needs? Customers with recurring volume — monthly restocking, scheduled pickups, or regular recycling runs — often qualify for contract pricing. Let us know your expected cadence and we'll structure the best arrangement for you.
Response Time Expectations
We're a focused operation — not a call center. All communication goes through email, which lets us give you thorough, accurate answers rather than quick guesses over the phone. Here's a realistic breakdown of our typical response times by inquiry type:
Standard Quote Requests
Within 24 business hours
Most quote requests receive a detailed response within one business day. If you submit Monday through Thursday before 3:00 PM CT, you'll very likely hear back the same day. Quotes include pricing, availability, and estimated delivery lead time.
Buy-Back & Selling Inquiries
Within 24–48 business hours
Evaluating totes for purchase or buy-back may take slightly longer since we need to assess photos, current inventory demand, and logistics for pickup. Include photos and a description of contents to speed this up considerably.
Recycling & Disposal Scheduling
Within 24–48 business hours
Recycling pickups require coordination with our fleet schedule. We'll respond with available pickup windows, any applicable fees or credits, and the documentation you'll receive for your records. Larger volumes or out-of-region pickups may need additional lead time.
Enterprise & Contract Inquiries
Within 48–72 business hours
Large-volume, ongoing, or contract-based arrangements require more thorough review before we can commit to pricing and logistics. We'll acknowledge your inquiry quickly and follow up with a full proposal or a request for additional information.
Urgent / Rush Orders
Same day when possible
Put "URGENT" in your subject line and we'll prioritize your email. Rush fulfillment depends on current inventory and fleet availability. We can't guarantee same-day shipping, but we always do our best to accommodate time-sensitive situations.
General Questions & Information
Within 24 business hours
Questions about tote grades, our processes, service area, compliance, or anything else are welcome. We aim to give thorough answers — not just a link to a page. If your question is a common one, the answer may already be in our FAQ section below.
Departments & Subject Lines
All inquiries go to the same address — info@kansasibcycling.com — but using the right subject line ensures your email is routed to the appropriate team member immediately. Here are the subject formats we recommend:
Sales
Buying IBC totes, requesting quotes, checking inventory, or placing orders.
Recycling
Scheduling container recycling, disposal inquiries, environmental compliance documentation.
Transportation
Freight logistics, delivery scheduling, pickup arrangements, route questions.
Inspection
Tote grading questions, condition verification, UN certification, food-grade compliance.
For Sellers
If you have used IBC totes you'd like to sell, we make the process straightforward. We purchase totes in a wide range of conditions — from lightly used near-new units to damaged cages and liners that others won't touch. Our buy-back pricing is competitive and based on current market demand, tote condition, and your location.
- Email photos of totes (all four sides plus valve close-up)
- Include quantity and previous product stored
- Provide your address for pickup quote
- We handle pickup logistics — no truck needed on your end
- Payment issued after pickup and verification
For Buyers
Whether you need a single IBC tote or hundreds, we maintain inventory across multiple grades to serve your specific application. Food-grade totes for beverage and ingredient processing, industrial-grade for chemicals and manufacturing, and standard reconditioned units for agriculture, construction, and general storage. All units are inspected, cleaned, and ready for use.
- Specify quantity, grade (food/industrial/standard), and size
- Provide delivery address and dock/access information
- Tell us your timeline — standard or expedited
- Ask about volume discounts for orders of 10+ units
- Delivery available across the Midwest; nationwide for bulk
For Recycling
IBC tote recycling is one of our core services. Rather than sending containers to a landfill, we dismantle, sort, and process materials responsibly. Plastic liners, steel cages, and pallet bases are each recycled through appropriate channels. We provide documentation for your environmental compliance records and can work with your facility's waste management team directly.
- We accept totes in virtually any condition
- Previous hazardous contents must be disclosed
- Pickup scheduling available throughout our service area
- Waste transfer documentation provided upon request
- Credit or flat fee depending on quantity and condition

Bulk & Enterprise Inquiries
Large-volume customers — manufacturers, distributors, agricultural operations, chemical processors, food and beverage producers — have unique needs that go beyond a standard one-off purchase. We offer structured arrangements for enterprise customers that include preferential pricing, dedicated account management, and flexible delivery scheduling.
Volume Pricing
Orders of 10+ units receive tiered pricing. Orders of 50+ units unlock our best per-unit rates. Contract customers with recurring orders get locked-in pricing for the contract term.
Scheduled Deliveries
Set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly delivery schedules so you're never waiting on totes when production demands them. We keep inventory reserved for contract customers.
Reverse Logistics
We pick up your empties on the same run as your delivery. This closed-loop model reduces costs and administrative overhead for high-volume operations.
Custom Specifications
Need specific valve configurations, liner types, or UN certifications? Enterprise customers can specify requirements and we'll source or recondition accordingly.

Request RecordsFrequently Asked Contact Questions
Before reaching out, check if your question is answered here. These are the questions we receive most often about how to work with us, what to expect, and how our process works.
How fast do you typically respond to emails?
Within 24 business hours for most inquiries — often the same day if emailed before 3:00 PM CT Monday through Thursday. Friday emails may not receive a full response until Monday morning. If your request is urgent, write "URGENT" in the subject line and we'll prioritize it. We do not monitor email on weekends unless previously arranged.
Do you have a phone number I can call?
No — we operate exclusively via email. This is intentional. Email allows us to give you a thorough, accurate response with pricing, availability, and logistics details rather than estimates made on the spot. It also creates a written record for both parties. We find our customers get better outcomes this way.
Can I visit your facility to inspect totes before buying?
Yes. Facility visits are welcome, especially for large orders where you want to verify condition before committing. We ask that you schedule your visit in advance via email so we can have the relevant inventory staged and a team member available to assist you. Walk-ins during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM CT) are generally fine but may involve a short wait.
Do you offer on-site inspections or site visits?
For large-volume accounts, yes — we can arrange a site visit to assess your current IBC tote stock, evaluate recycling candidates, or discuss logistics for ongoing supply. This is typically arranged as part of an enterprise or contract discussion. Email us to describe your situation and we'll determine if a site visit makes sense.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, for orders of 20 or more units we can ship to anywhere in the continental United States via LTL or FTL freight carriers. Our direct fleet covers the Midwest (roughly within 500 miles of Kansas City). For locations outside that range, we coordinate third-party freight and include the cost in your quote. Contact us with your ZIP code and quantity for a freight estimate.
What's the minimum order quantity?
There is no strict minimum. We sell individual units and small lots just as readily as large bulk orders. However, delivery economics improve significantly at higher quantities — for very small orders (1–3 units) in the Kansas City metro area, pickup at our facility is usually the most cost-effective option. We'll always recommend the most practical arrangement for your situation.
How do I get a quote for selling my used totes?
Email us at info@kansasibcycling.com with: (1) the number of totes, (2) photos of each tote if possible — all four sides plus the valve and bottom, (3) what was previously stored in them, and (4) your location. We'll respond with a buy-back offer and pickup logistics within 24–48 business hours.
Do you handle hazardous material totes?
It depends on the specific material. We accept and recycle a wide range of totes that previously contained industrial chemicals, cleaning agents, agricultural chemicals, and similar materials. However, certain highly hazardous substances require special handling that may be outside our scope. Always disclose previous contents upfront — this is required and affects both pricing and logistics. We'll tell you immediately if we can't handle a particular material type.
Can you accommodate Saturday or after-hours pickups or deliveries?
Saturday operations are by appointment only and must be arranged in advance during the week. We do not typically operate on Sundays. For accounts with recurring volume, we can work Saturday deliveries or pickups into a scheduled arrangement. Contact us during regular business hours to discuss your scheduling needs.
How long does it take to receive my order after placing it?
For local Kansas City metro orders, delivery is often possible within 2–5 business days of order confirmation. For regional destinations within our primary service area, allow 3–7 business days. Nationwide freight typically takes 5–10 business days depending on destination. Rush delivery may be available — ask about it when you submit your inquiry.
